LESSONS
I instruct lessons in piano, guitar, ukulele, drums, bass, and composition.
In July 2018, my wife and I moved to Austin from Tampa, Florida, where I had been heavily steeped in the music/art scene for over twenty years. I was the head of two musical ensembles, involved in creating music for local art houses and film/video production companies and studios, and worked closely with music teachers at schools in my county. In May 2021, we moved to Oakland California, where I served as Adjunct Instructor at SAE Expression College. In March 2024, we moved to Portland, Oregon.
Over the last decade, I have taught people with disabilities through VSA FL, and given private lessons. Through working with people with special needs I have learned to be patient, flexible, and able to adapt to classroom situations that are unexpected and out of the ordinary. When giving private lessons, I tailor the curriculum to the individual needs and goals of the students.
Lessons are instructed in person and online (via Zoom and FaceTime).
